sign at the bridge says overnight closure but i was driving and missed the date. thurs night or fri night? Old Mill by the feed turnoff.

Thursday night into Friday morning. The portable sign says 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. If they keep the same detour as the inspection last year it will send you around the courthouse side, not through Harker’s Ford.

Does that affect the early summer-program bus or are school buses done before 8? I know schools aren’t county government, just trying to figure out the route.

The dated notice says Thursday, July 9, 8 p.m., through Friday, July 10, 5 a.m. The detour is Quarry Street to the belt road. Here is the E-Gazette item with the Public Works notice summarized.

WrenMom3, the item doesn’t mention the school program. That would be a question for the school transportation office rather than Public Works. The road should be open by the posted morning time.
